Te Pikes Peak 16 National Volleyball Team worked this year's Mosaic Christmas Party.

Mosaic is an organization which provides services for persons with mental disabilities.  They find homes, take them on outings, and provide job training for jobs they find for them.  It’s a great organization that serves 200 local persons by “providing extraordinary lives for extraordinary people.”  Our team helped set up for the party, worked as greeters, served food and drink, and emptied trash.  We enjoyed getting to meet everyone, some pictures are in our Gallery and our PPVC Pix page - check em out!!

PIKES PEAK VOLLEYBALL CARES:

Pikes Peak Volleyball CARES are new programs PPVC is implementing in support of our Mission Statement and support of the community around us.  Two of these programs will happend during all of our Tryous:

1.  PPVC will be collecting canned food and dry goods to donate to Care & Share Food Bank of Colorado Springs.  Care and Share nearly closed its doors over the summer due to low donation levels.  The holidays approaching and a staggering economy make life even tougher for those already struggling...we're going to show we Care...by Sharing.

***The family who brings the most canned goods each week of tryouts will have their Tryout fee refunded.***

2.  PPVC will also be donating 10% of the money raised at all of our Tryouts to Breast Cancer Research.

Pikes Peak Volleyball Club is the oldest, continually running volleyball club in the Colorado Springs area.  We are a 501c3 non-profit organization seeking to provide an outstanding club volleyball experience for players, parents and coaches throughout the Pikes Peak region.

Pikes Peak Volleyball Club is run by a dedicated and energetic team of people who are guided by our Mission Statement of "Empowering girls and developing young women through the sport of volleyball."  We believe that lessons learned on the volleyball court translate to life lessons which help develop girls into confident young women ready to handle any challenges life may present.

Our staff seeks continuous improvement in the quality of the PPVC experience for all involved by adding and improving programs to enhance our effectiveness in all areas.  Below are just some of the changes at PPVC this year:

      •  Expanded vision for growth and improvement in all areas of the club

      •  Loyalty programs to keep good coaches and players coming back year after year

      •  Expanded Plyometrics program to build on last year's remarkably successful program (taught by a certified trainer, currently training Air Force athletes)

      •  Knowledge sharing program to make the most of all talents within the club

      •  Expanded pre-season programs to prepare players and coaches for the upcoming season
